Each year, the Center for Learning
Excellence produces a year-end report on Alternative Education Grant
Program outcomes.
This report is a summary of the major
findings and key recommendations resulting from an evaluation of the
programs conducted by the Center for Learning Excellence. The evaluation
focuses on performance in relation to five goals established by the Ohio
Alternative Education Advisory Council when the programs were first
funded.
Goal 1 – Target services to pupils exhibiting
problem behaviors
and those at risk of developing those behaviors.
Goal 2 - Involve community-based intervention and
support
agencies in service delivery.
Goal 3 – Help participants successfully re-enter
their regular
classrooms or achieve other positive outcomes.
Goal 4 – Design the programs with attention to
evidence-based
or promising practices.
Goal 5 – Implement all programs in the most
cost-effective
manner possible.
